MPC™ 1050DE 1 Mil Dry Erase Laminate

We are experimenting with this product to see if it is suitable to apply over a printed area on a plastic waste cart to prevent the printed information from being easily removed and make it last longer as many people keep them outside year round.
The product was ordered in slit rolls of 4" and one 6". One of the rolls received damage along the edge in shipping which affected the ability to use the roll, It only looked minor but it made the film tear when trying to apply it to a surface. We also learned to store the rolls upright, not on their side or edge to prevent damage. It is difficult to remove the film from the backing. We are currently trying to figure out the best way to apply it to a surface and get a smooth application without any bubbles or wrinkles. We are not using a tape applicator which might help and which we are thinking of trying. Any recommendations appreciated.

As this is experimental, gave it a 3 star review. Downside is application and getting the backing to release and difficulty in preventing bubbles and wrinkles. It does adhere well which is always a challenge with plastic surfaces.
